About Ann
Hi, I’m Ann Lash. Currently I live in Southern California. My days are filled with hours of drawing and doodling, walks with my dog in the warm sunshine, and afternoon naps (highly recommended!). I used to live in the beautiful state of Colorado, which is known for its Rocky Mountains, 54 of which rise above 14,000 feet. I hiked many of those mountains while carrying Sophiedog in my backpack. We also enjoyed going for bike rides and had many other experiences filled with joy, laughter and love. I journaled our adventures which then became the basis of my stories. Along with my love of drawing, everything clicked together and evolved into my children’s book series and blog - It's a Sophiedog Day!

Sophiedog is a tiny Shih Tzu breed dog with a HUGE imagination!
She loves and adores me (Annabelle) and follows me everywhere! Sophiedog also loves naps and believes that any challenge can be overcome after a good happy nappy. In Sophiedog's make-believe world, she loves to design fashion, accessories and home decor.
